Aaron KahlowSitting Poolside at OMS for our lunch and realized today is just one of those glorious days you wish were a more regular occurrence. Starting with meeting some very fun and interesting people like my new friend from Schwab where we talked about “How can you Talk to Chuck” if you don’t have a social media strategy.

At the same table, a looked over at the young lady sitting next to me and she pointed out that she was getting “some sun” on her skin and needed to go inside. That’s when it hit me, today is a great day. Getting a tan while sharing Online Marketing war stories, what more can one ask for… right?!

Today’s Ah-ha moment for me came during the BRCs preso on how Teradata built their website. Basically, I said “ah-ha” when we we’re reviewing personas. The thought of personas is a very popular idea for the basis of building a website for your user, but what hit me was the question: “How useful are personas if you have not done the research behind what they represent on your site?”

So, research first, THEN persona building was my “ah ha”!

With such a glorious day, I’m already looking forward to my Heineken poolside at the OMS happy hour…
