…a new destination that will bring together the very best minds in online marketing to contribute news, ideas, strategies, commentary, insights, research and more. When I set out to launch Online Marketing for Marketers, I kept coming back to those things that make the Online Marketing Summit so successful: Education, Knowledge, Accessibility and Varied levels of expertise.
With Online Marketing for Marketers I want to apply the same model to an online platform (novel, right?) and reach out to an even broader audience—from college students just learning about marketing to CMOs who want to brush up on their knowledge of the latest technologies.
Sure, there are several online marketing sites competing for marketers’ attention, but there’s still a real need for quality educational material for marketers of all levels of knowledge and experience. The fact is this: No matter how far along we are in our careers, we never stop learning.
A key part of the Online Marketing for Marketers experience will also be the community blog, which will allow the industry’s most innovative leaders and thinkers a chance to offer their commentary and insight. Unlike traditional blogs, which have emphasized randomness over organization, Online Marketing for Marketers will be guided by a weekly editorial calendar that will allow visitors to know exactly what the central topic is. Guest bloggers will be invited to contribute to predetermined categories (those that we feel will best serve this community), giving the site a focus and direction that will allow bloggers and visitors to connect with their particular interests. However, we aren’t going to get rid of allrandomness. While an overarching topic will be introduced each week, bloggers and community members should not feel constrained by these: all visitors should feel free to introduce other related topics and interests of concern.
In addition to playing host to what I hope will be a truly innovative and exciting blog, I plan to pack Online Marketing for Marketers with information and resources that aren’t available anywhere else—OMS speaker videos, a white paper database, case studies, articles and other essential marketing research—all of which promise to make the site the go-to industry resource for marketers.
I hope you will visit the site often and linger, both to read your peers’ insights and to share your own thoughts—I’m looking forward to building Online Marketing for Marketers with all of you.

Aaron,
Great program in Milwaukee yesterday. Exceeded my expectations and was well worth the modest investment. I went with a jaded attitude expecti8ng to get a giant sales pitch. Got just the opposite. The speakers were a surprise- well informed and all provided good road maps. Bill Baird on social media and Steve Latham on selling to C-level folks were my favorites and absolutley know what they’re doing. Lots of ah-has.
Food was good and the networking great. I think you’re on to something here! I like your attitude and reward system for people who ask questions.
Only drawback if any- next time, provide the questions to your panel members in advance so they can think about what’s going to be thrown at them.

I agree with all points that Johnathan made, but especially the first:

And congrats on the blog. I’ve just subscribed.
